Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 1 cup Whole Milk Warm to about 110°F.
  • 2 tsp Active Dry Yeast Ensure it's fresh.
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar Can be adjusted for taste.
  • 8 tbsp Unsalted Butter Melted for dough, softened for filling.
  • 2 Large Eggs Bring to room temperature.
  • 1/3 cup Ground Oreo Cookies Enhances flavor.
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Add more if sticky.
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
Filling Ingredients
  • 1 cup Dark Brown Sugar Can be substituted.
  • 2 tbsp Ground Cinnamon Adjust according to preference.
  • 2 tbsp Dutch Process Cocoa Powder Swap for regular cocoa if needed.
Baking & Topping Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream Pour over rolls before baking.
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Use softened.
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar Sift to prevent lumps.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract Can substitute with almond extract.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Warm the whole milk to about 110°F, sprinkle yeast and sugar over it. Let it sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and ground Oreos. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs. Mix and knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for about 1 hour, until doubled in size.
  4. Cream softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cocoa in a bowl for the filling.
  5. Roll dough out to a rectangle, about 14x18 inches.
  6. Spread filling over dough, sprinkle crushed Oreos, and roll tightly into a log. Slice into 12 pieces.
  7. Let rolls rise again in a greased pan for about 30-45 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F. Pour cream over rolls and bake for 20-22 minutes.
  9. Mix frosting ingredients until smooth while rolls bake.
  10. Allow rolls to cool for 10 minutes before frosting with cream cheese icing and topping with crushed Oreos.

Notes
