Preparation Steps
  1. Cook the pasta by boiling salted water in a large pot. Add the short pasta and cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and let cool.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake the bacon in a single layer on a baking sheet for about 25 minutes until crispy. Allow to cool and chop into pieces.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine sour cream and ranch dressing, whisking until smooth. Set aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooled pasta, chopped green onions, and cheddar cheese. Toss gently. Add half of the chopped bacon.
