  • 4 medium Roasted Jalapeño Peppers or raw for sharper flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil for brushing
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese can substitute with Neufchâtel cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Whole-Grain Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Chives or fresh for a brighter taste
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Parsley or fresh
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice can substitute with vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika smoked paprika for more flavor
  • 1 to taste Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper adjust for desired spice

  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese your choice of cheese
  • Fresh Herbs like cilantro or green onions for garnish

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise, remove seeds if preferred, and brush with olive oil before placing cut-side down on the baking sheet.
  3. Roast the jalapeños for about 12-15 minutes until skins are charred and tender. Allow them to cool before dicing.
  4. Mix together cream cheese, mustard, chives, parsley, garlic powder, lemon juice, paprika, black and cayenne pepper until smooth.
  5. Fold in the diced roasted jalapeños into the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  7. Before serving, stir the dip and top with shredded cheese or fresh herbs.
