- Slice the brioche or challah bread into 1-inch thick pieces and grease a baking dish. Arrange the slices in a single layer.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until blended.
- Pour the custard mixture over the arranged bread and gently press down to ensure it soaks. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
