  • 1 cup Heavy Cream for a lighter version, substitute with half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup Chicken Broth or white wine
  • 1/2 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese for vegan option, use nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning can swap for individual dried herbs
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes optional
For Seasoning and Garnish
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Salt adjust to taste
  • Fresh Parsley chopped for garnish

Step-by-Step Instructions for Creamy Garlic Shrimp
  1. In a large bowl, toss the peeled and deveined large shrimp with paprika, salt, and black pepper. Set aside for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet.
  3. Lower the heat to medium and add 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in 1/2 cup of chicken broth or white wine and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream, followed by 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, and 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes. Allow to simmer for another 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Return the seared shrimp to the skillet and gently toss in the creamy sauce. Simmer for an additional 2 minutes and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
