- In a large, heavy skillet, warm 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Generously sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the 4 salmon fillets.
- Carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets into the hot skillet, skin side up. Cook undisturbed for about 5 minutes.
- Using a spatula, gently flip the salmon fillets and reduce the heat. Cook for an additional 5 to 6 minutes until opaque.
- Remove the salmon and set aside. In the same skillet, add 3 tablespoons of butter and melt completely. Stir in 1.5 teaspoons of minced garlic.
- Pour in 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and return the salmon fillets to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce.
- Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley before serving.

Store leftover salmon in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For busy nights, season salmon fillets ahead of time and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
