Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread pecans on a baking pan and toast for 8-10 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Combine with light brown sugar, granulated sugar, corn syrup, and condensed milk in a larger bowl.
  4. Heat the caramel mixture in the microwave for about 6 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract and the toasted pecans, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  7. Scoop portions of the pecan mixture and shape them into clusters. Dip each into melted chocolate.
  8. Refrigerate chocolate-coated turtles for 30 minutes until chocolate solidifies.
