  • 4 fillets Atlantic Salmon the star of the dish
  • to taste Salt essential seasoning
  • to taste Pepper essential seasoning
For the Cooking Base
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil for sautéing
  • 3 tablespoons Butter divided for cooking and sauce
For the Flavor Boosters
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice fresh is best
  • 2 cloves Garlic freshly minced
  • to taste Fresh Parsley garnish; can be substituted with dill or chives

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Remove salmon from the fridge 15 to 20 minutes prior to cooking.
  2. Cut the salmon into four equal pieces and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Season the fillets generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Once butter melts and foams, place salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet.
  6. Cook for about 5 minutes without moving, then flip and cook for another 2-4 minutes.
  7. Transfer salmon to a plate and keep warm.
  8. Lower heat to medium-low, add remaining butter, garlic, and lemon juice to the skillet.
  9. Cook for 1-2 minutes until garlic is fragrant.
  10. Return salmon to the skillet, spooning sauce over it, and simmer for a minute.
  11. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
