- Remove salmon from the fridge 15 to 20 minutes prior to cooking.
- Cut the salmon into four equal pieces and pat dry with paper towels.
- Season the fillets generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once butter melts and foams, place salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet.
- Cook for about 5 minutes without moving, then flip and cook for another 2-4 minutes.
- Transfer salmon to a plate and keep warm.
- Lower heat to medium-low, add remaining butter, garlic, and lemon juice to the skillet.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes until garlic is fragrant.
- Return salmon to the skillet, spooning sauce over it, and simmer for a minute.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
