  • 1 pound Shrimp Peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste

  • 3-4 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion Diced
  • 1 can Coconut Milk Full-fat, unsweetened
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch Optional thickener
  • 1 tablespoon Fish Sauce For umami depth
  • 1 tablespoon Honey Adjust to preference
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice Freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chili Flakes Adjust spice level
For Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro Fresh, optional
  • to taste Freshly Cracked Black Pepper For final seasoning

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine shrimp with salt, black pepper, sweet paprika, and garlic powder. Toss to coat and set aside.
  2. Mince garlic and dice onion.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over high heat. Sear shrimp for 1 minute on each side until pink. Remove from skillet.
  4. Add minced garlic and diced onion to skillet, sauté for 3 minutes.
  5. Pour in ¾ coconut milk, stir, and add cornstarch mixture. Thicken the sauce.
  6. Stir in fish sauce, honey, and lime juice, simmer gently.
  7. Return shrimp to skillet and stir to coat. Add cilantro if using.
  8. Adjust seasoning and serve, garnishing with black pepper and chili flakes.
