Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat over medium heat and add 1 lb of ground beef. Cook for about 5–7 minutes, using a wooden spoon to break it into small pieces as it browns. Drain any excess fat.
- Add 1 small diced onion and 2 minced garlic cloves to the cooked beef. Cook for an additional 3–4 minutes until translucent and fragrant.
- Stir in 1 cup of tomato sauce, 1/4 cup of ketchup, 1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce, and 1 tbsp of brown sugar. Simmer on low for about 10 minutes.
- Prepare 4 slices of garlic Texas toast according to package instructions and bake at 425°F for about 5–7 minutes until crispy.
- Generously spoon the beef mixture over each slice of garlic toast. Let it overflow for maximum flavor.
- Sprinkle 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella on top.
- Place the assembled Sloppy Joes on a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 1–2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with 1 tbsp of chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes
Use a cast iron skillet for even browning and drain excess fat to keep flavors fresh. Ensure garlic toast is crispy prior to adding the meat mixture.
