Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, instant chocolate fudge pudding mix, powdered milk, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
- Cream together the granulated sugar and salted butter in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, egg yolk, whole milk, and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Using a cookie scoop, portion out the dough and flatten each slightly. Place a teaspoon of hot fudge in the center and seal the dough around it to form balls.
- Space the dough balls on the lined baking sheet at least 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes for regular-sized cookies or 10-12 minutes for bakery-sized versions.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 15 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar if desired before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
For optimal flavor, ensure the hot fudge is thick and sealed properly within the cookie dough. Experiment with different flavored hot fudge for variations.
