Cooking Steps
  1. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add 2 minced garlic cloves and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, then add 500g of lean ground beef, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, ½ teaspoon of ground cumin, and salt and black pepper. Cook for 7–8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Prepare the garlic yogurt sauce by combining ½ cup of plain Greek yogurt, 1 finely grated garlic clove, and 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice in a mixing bowl. Whisk until smooth, adding a pinch of salt. Chill for a few minutes if time allows.
  3. Warm 4 pita breads in a dry skillet or microwave. Spread garlic yogurt sauce on each pita, layer with cooked beef, ½ cup of diced cucumber, ½ cup of chopped tomatoes, ¼ cup of thinly sliced red onion, and ¼ cup of crumbled feta cheese.
  4. Fold or roll each wrap tightly. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley or dill.
