For the Caprese Salad
  • 2 cups Cherry Tomatoes Can replace with halved grape tomatoes
  • 8 ounces Fresh Mozzarella Balls Mozzarella slices can be used
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil (chopped) Arugula or parsley can be used
For the Dressing
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic Glaze Can make a homemade reduction of balsamic vinegar and honey

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a zip-top bag or shallow dish, combine olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Add the flank steak, ensuring it's coated thoroughly in the marinade. Seal the bag or cover the dish, then refrigerate for 1 to 8 hours.
  2. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 400-450°F. Oil the grill grates slightly to prevent sticking.
  3. Place the marinated flank steak on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, depending on your desired doneness.
  4. Remove the flank steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
  5. In a medium bowl, combine halved cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella balls, and chopped basil. Drizzle with a little extra olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
  6. Thinly slice the flank steak against the grain and arrange the juicy slices on a serving platter.
  7. Top the slices of grilled flank steak with your prepared Caprese salad. Drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving.
