Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the marinade by whisking together pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and optional crushed red pepper flakes. Set aside half for later.
  2. Marinate the chicken in a resealable bag with reserved marinade for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Cook the marinated chicken by grilling for 5-7 minutes per side or pan-searing for about 6-8 minutes per side, until cooked through.
  4. Make the sauce by bringing the reserved marinade to boil, simmering, and thickening with cornstarch slurry if desired.
