  • 4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Salt kosher salt recommended
  • 2 teaspoons Instant Yeast active dry yeast can be used if proofed first
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil extra virgin preferred
  • 1.5 cups Warm Water around 110°F (43°C)
Flavor Ingredients
  • 4 cloves Fresh Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese freshly grated
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs optional, e.g. rosemary or thyme
Finishing Touches
  • 1 teaspoon Flaky Sea Salt Maldon salt recommended
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley or Herbs for garnish, optional

Method
 

Dough Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, kosher salt, and instant yeast. Gradually stir in warm water and olive oil until a sticky dough forms. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 2 hours.
  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil. Once dough has risen, stretch it into the pan, cover, and let it rest for another 30 minutes.
  3. In a small saucepan, heat olive oil over low heat and add minced garlic. Heat until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Create dimples in the dough, drizzle with garlic oil, sprinkle Parmesan cheese and herbs, and finish with flaky sea salt.
  5. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
  6. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
