  3. Gently fold in the vanilla extract. Then sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt, folding until just combined.
  4. Spread the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden.
  5. Dust a clean towel with powdered sugar, flip the cake onto it, and roll it up from one end. Let it cool for 30 minutes.
  6. While cooling, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

  8. Roll the cake back up without the towel, place seam side down, and chill for 30 minutes.
