  • 1 cup Italian Breadcrumbs gluten-free breadcrumbs for gluten-free version
  • 1/4 cup Milk or non-dairy milk
  • 1 medium Onion or shallots for subtler flavor
  • 2 cloves Garlic or garlic powder
  • 1 large Egg or flax egg for vegan option
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese or nutritional yeast for dairy-free
  • 1/4 cup Parsley or other herbs like basil or oregano
For Serving
  • 2 cups Pasta or zucchini noodles for low-carb option
  • 2 cups Marinara Sauce to serve with meatballs

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Italian breadcrumbs and milk. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, Parmesan cheese, and parsley to the bowl. Mix gently until just combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into 2-inch meatballs and place them on the baking sheet, spaced evenly.
  5. Bake the meatballs for 18-20 minutes until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).
  6. Remove from the oven and drain excess fat. Serve with pasta and marinara sauce.
