Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by heating 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Once the oil shimmers, add 1 finely chopped medium onion and sauté until it softens, about 5 minutes. Stir in 2 minced garlic cloves and cook for an additional minute until fragrant, then prepare for the next step as the aroma fills your kitchen.
- Add 1 pound of ground beef to the pot, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook the meat until it’s browned and fully cooked through, around 8-10 minutes. If there's excess fat after cooking, carefully drain it away.
- Stir in one 15-ounce can of crushed tomatoes, one 8-ounce can of tomato sauce, and 1 cup of beef broth to the pot. Then, add 1 teaspoon of dried basil, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 10 minutes.
- Gently add a 20-ounce package of refrigerated cheese ravioli to the simmering sauce. Stir to combine and ensure the ravioli is well-coated. Cover the pot and let it cook for 7-9 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the ravioli is ready, reduce the heat to low and stir in ½ cup of heavy cream and ¼ cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to become creamy and beautifully blended.
- Remove the pot from heat and transfer the One Pot Ravioli to serving bowls. If desired, garnish with fresh basil or parsley for an inviting touch.
