Preparation Steps
- In a medium pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.
- Once the water is boiling, immediately remove the pot from the heat. Add 3 black tea bags, 2-3 fresh rosemary sprigs, the zest of one orange, and a couple of thinly sliced ginger pieces.
- Allow the mixture to steep for 5-7 minutes, keeping the pot covered to trap the steam.
- Carefully remove the tea bags from the pot and stir in sugar to taste while the tea is still warm.
- Using a fine mesh strainer, strain out the rosemary, zest, and ginger slices from the tea.
- Stir in the freshly squeezed juice from two ripe oranges into the strained tea mixture.
- Allow the tea to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then transfer to the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours.
- To serve, fill tall glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled Orange Rosemary Iced Tea over the ice. Garnish with fresh orange slices and sprigs of rosemary.
