Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine light brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Rub each fillet with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
  4. Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the greased baking dish. Spoon two-thirds of the glaze over the fillets.
  5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Optional: Broil for an additional 1-2 minutes for a golden exterior.
  7. Let the salmon rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Transfer the salmon to serving plates, drizzle with pan juices, and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
