Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Add the pine nuts and toast for 2-3 minutes, shaking frequently to prevent burning. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. In a jar or bowl, combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, maple syrup, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Blend thoroughly until emulsified.
  3. In a large serving bowl, layer the spinach and butter lettuce mix.
  4. Evenly distribute blueberries and quartered strawberries over the lettuce. Add sliced fresh mozzarella.
  5. Sprinkle toasted pine nuts and fresh basil leaves atop the salad. Serve with dressing drizzled or on the side.
