Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt chocolate chips and unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Combine melted chocolate mixture with granulated sugar, then add egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Fold in the sourdough discard until fully mixed.
  5. In another bowl, mix together cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold into wet ingredients.
