Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan. Set aside.
  2. Boil one cup of water and steep three chamomile tea bags for about five minutes. Allow to cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, beat together butter, eggs, and cooled chamomile tea until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring gently. Fold in chopped strawberries.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Make frosting by combining cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cooled chamomile tea until smooth.
  9. Once the cake is cool, frost the top and sides with cream cheese frosting.
  10. Garnish with sliced strawberries and chamomile flowers before serving.
