Step-by-Step Instructions for Mango Iced Tea
- Start by boiling 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. Once boiling, remove it from heat and add your black tea bags (or loose leaf tea). Let it steep for about 3 minutes until it reaches a deep amber color, then remove the tea bags and stir in 2 tablespoons of honey until fully dissolved. Allow the tea to cool completely.
- While the tea is cooling, take a ripe mango and peel it. Chop the mango into small chunks, then place the chunks in a blender with ½ cup of water. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth, creating a vibrant mango nectar.
- Next, set a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth over a bowl and pour the blended mango mixture into it. Use a spoon to press the pulp down and extract as much juice as possible. Discard the leftover pulp.
- Gather your serving glasses and fill each one with ice cubes. Pour the cooled tea into each glass until it is about two-thirds full, then gently pour the mango nectar over the tea.
- To elevate your presentation, garnish each glass with a slice of fresh mango on the rim. Serve your Mango Iced Tea immediately and enjoy!
