Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by chopping 3 ½ cups of fresh tomatoes and then place them in a strainer to drain excess liquid for about 5 minutes.
  2. Once the tomatoes are properly drained, add them to a blender or food processor along with ¼ small onion, ⅓ cup of fresh cilantro, 2 tablespoons of lime juice, 1 small jalapeno (seeds removed), ½ teaspoon of ground cumin, and a sprinkle of salt and black pepper (½ teaspoon each). Blitz until you reach your desired consistency.
  3. Taste your salsa and adjust the flavors if necessary. If you prefer it a bit sweeter, add ½ teaspoon of sugar or honey and blend again.
  4. Transfer the salsa into a clean jar for easy storage. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to one week.
