Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat for about 5–7 minutes. Add the diced onion halfway through.
  3. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream. Mix well and heat through for about 3–5 minutes.
  4. Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish and spread the beef mixture evenly across the bottom.
  5. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
  6. Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until tater tots are golden brown.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and return to the oven for 5 minutes.
  9. Let the casserole cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
