Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together warm milk, fresh yeast, granulated sugar, softened butter, and vanilla extract until well combined. Allow to sit for about 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add baking powder, all-purpose flour, and salt to the yeast mixture. Combine until a dough forms, then knead for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Gently fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring even distribution throughout the dough.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Once risen, punch down the dough and divide into 10 equal portions. Roll each into a smooth ball.
  6. Arrange the dough balls on a parchment-lined baking tray and cover with a towel. Let them rise for another 20 minutes.
  7. Preheat your oven to 190°C. Brush the tops of the risen buns with reserved milk. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. After baking, brush tops again with a little milk for a glossy finish.
